Shrimant Rajasaheb Malojiraje III

Ascended the Gadi in 2018

His Highness Shrimant Malojiraje III Sanyuktaraje Bhosle is the current Rajasaheb of Akkalkot. Born as Manajirao, he is the son of Adv. Shri Jayajirao Raje Bhonsle from the Kurla Raje Bhonsle family. On January 3, 2005, he was adopted by H.H. Shrimant Rajkumari Sanyuktaraje Bhosle, the then legal heir of the Akkalkot royal family, and was named Malojiraje III as the Prince of Akkalkot State. Following the demise of Shrimant Rajkumari Sanyuktaraje Bhosle on May 4, 2018, Malojiraje III was coronated as the Rajasaheb of Akkalkot, succeeding to the royal “Gadi” throne of Akkalkot.

Born: 24th January 1993

He is known for his philanthropic endeavors, supporting various charitable organizations and initiatives aimed at providing aid to underprivileged and marginalized sections of society. His dedication to preserving Akkalkot’s vibrant cultural heritage and his commitment to the welfare of the people have solidified his position as a respected and influential figure in the region and beyond.

He envisions to make Akkalkot a self-sustained and developed city. To achieve this, he aims to transform Akkalkot into a significant pilgrimage and tourist destination in India, focusing on sustainable and responsible development. This approach intends to not only safeguard Akkalkot’s traditional, religious, and royal heritage but also enhance it by fostering opportunities for overall socio-economic growth. He also aims to raise the literacy rate and improve the higher education system in Akkalkot. Additionally, he seeks to strengthen the healthcare sector to ensure its self-sufficiency.

Rajasaheb is a devoted follower of Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj and has taken a keen interest in his history. From a young age, he has read several books on Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj, including the “Bakhar Grant” and the biography “Guru Charitra” written by Sant Wamanbhau Maharaj. The life story of Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj, his contributions to humanity, and his miraculous deeds deeply resonate with Rajasaheb. One incident that particularly moved him was when Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj met H.H. Malojiraje II at the Panchaytan Ganesh Temple in Akkalkot on the fifth day of Navratri, where he honored H.H. Malojiraje II with a saffron-colored vastra, entrusting him with the responsibility of caring for the people of Akkalkot.

Continuing the legacy of his ancestors and the footsteps of Swami Maharaj, Rajasaheb is driven by a vision to perform noble deeds for the inhabitants of Akkalkot and all devotees and visitors of Swami Samarth Maharaj. He birthed the idea of creating a significant development project in Akkalkot to actualize this vision, which led to the initiation of his dream project, “Anubhuti: An Enclave of Miracles.”

As the pioneer of this Anubhuti Project, he has donated 42 acres of land belonging to the Akkalkot Royal Family, located in the heart of Akkalkot city. Through this project, he envisions establishing a 108-foot tall statue of Shri Swami Samarth, created using the five elements (Pancha Dhatu). This statue will be situated in the middle of the historic lake known as Ram Talav. He also intends to develop the area surrounding the lake by creating “Swami Divya Darshan,” a cave-like structure portraying 18 significant incidents from Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj’s life. This project will provide various services and amenities for visitors and residents, including residential cottages, meditation centers, food courts, a clubhouse, botanical gardens, boating, walking tracks, light and music shows, an elephant sanctuary, and parking facilities for devotees.

The most important aspect of this project is the establishment of a well-equipped multi-specialty hospital with 400 beds that will provide free treatment to the poor and needy sections of society. This hospital will ensure assistance, information, reception, hygiene, sanitation, security, and infrastructure for tourists and locals alike.

Through this project, Rajasaheb aims to position Akkalkot as a revered tourist destination for both domestic and international visitors by offering a high-quality experience while ensuring environmental conservation and the preservation of natural resources. He plans to restore all water bodies and wells of historical significance, including the “Dudh Bavdi” well, which is mentioned in Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj’s “Bakhar” written by Shri Gopalyuva Kelkar. Rajasaheb also aspires to introduce different tour packages for visitors, allowing them to experience Akkalkot’s royal history, including its grand forts, palaces, temples, wells, and other heritage sites.

Overall, Rajasaheb is dedicated to promoting eco-tourism while enhancing religious, historical, cultural, and heritage tourism in Akkalkot through this project.
