After the death of Shrimant Maharaj Vijaysinhraje, in accordance with the tradition of the royal lineage, his brother Shrimant Maharaj Jaysinhraje, alias Babasaheb Maharaj ascended the throne. He was born on January 28, 1923, and his coronation took place on February 27, 1936. His wife's name was Maharani Mrudularaje. They had two daughters, Shrimant Rajkumari Sanyuktaraje and Shrimant Rajkumari Sunitaraje.
Adoption and ascension to the Gadi

Even though the princely state of Akkalkot was merged, there was still reverence and respect for Rajasaheb and the Royal family in the hearts of the people.Rajasaheb Jaysinhraje actively collaborated with the Indian government's principles and objectives. He engaged in cooperative work with entities like The State Bank, Development Bank, Khadi Gramudyog, Purchase and Sale Cooperative, Telephone Office, Panchayat Samiti, and even offered their spaces at nominal rent for government offices. The aim was such that Akkalkot should experience more development. Shri Rajesaheb remained immersed in his daily activities, consistently focusing on the development of the region. Traditional celebrations like Ganesh Utsav, Dasara,etc. festivals are also organised in the Royal Palace.

On January 20, 1965, Shrimant Rajasaheb Jaysinhraje passed away due to illness. After his death,his eldest daughter, Shrimant Rajkumari Sanyuktaraje, ascended to the throne.

Shrimant Rajmata Mrudularaje, wife of late Shrimant Rajasaheb Jaysinhraje, made significant contributions in the field of education. She desired that Akkalkot should have a college for higher education. At that time, their secretary M.P. Bagul also seemed agitated. She organised education enthusiasts with the noble aim of promoting higher education. Akkalkot Education Society was registered as an institution. Late. C. B. Khedgi also made a significant contribution to this initiative. Together, they inaugurated colleges such as Shri C. B. Khedgi Science, Shri Raja Vijaysinh Commerce, and Shri Raja Jaysinh Arts college which aim to provide higher education. Bringing everyone together and making an education society was due to Late. M.P. Bagul's contribution, it cannot be denied. Same about the Lions Club.

For the college, Shrimant Rajmata Mrudularaje provided the old palace building on a lease. Not only that, but they also donated 12 acres of land to the institution. Today, on this 12-acre land stands a magnificent building, and the college is running excellently independently. It is on the path of progress.

As the number of students in the school increased, the building needed to be expanded. All schools chief sought support from Shrimant Rajmata’s office. In Accordance to their request, the Shri Shahaji High School, was granted with a building within the premises of the old palace, providing ample of space for the education of children and another building was leased for the functioning of the Shri Rani Nirmalaraje School for Girls.

Shrimant Rajmata Mrudularaje donated her own Shri Muralidhar Temple and its surroundings to the Shri Vatvriksha Swami Maharaj temple. Additionally, as per the request of Shri Swami Samarth devotee Late, Kaladgi Maharaj, she generously donated 2 acres of land. On December 10, 1985, Shrimant Rajmata Mrudularaje passed away due to illness.
